The Three-Tier Approach

Stealth Mix is built around a three-tier grass architecture that keeps your cover standing from first frost through late-season pressure — not matted flat on the ground when you need it most.

• Tier 1 — Short (up to 18"): Annual Ryegrass + Certified Carlton Smooth Brome. Fast-establishing ground layer that closes off sight lines and stabilizes the seedbed from day one.
• Tier 2 — Medium (2–4 ft): Fawn Tall Fescue + Tober Virginia Wild Rye. The standout of the blend — Tober Virginia Wild Rye is purpose-selected to reach 3 to 4 feet in heavy shade, thriving in timbered edges and low-light corridors where most grasses quit.
• Tier 3 — Tall (5–8 ft): Bounty Big Bluestem + Tomahawk Indiangrass. Native prairie grasses with stiff, woody stems that resist snow load and wind throw through late November and beyond.
